Dr. Merci Treaster, PT, DPT
Meet Dr. Merci Ortenzi Treaster PT, DPT, founder and owner of The Pelvis Pro.
Growing up surrounded by healthcare professionals, Merci's journey to becoming a pelvic health expert was destined. With an OB/GYN mom and a chiropractor mom, anatomy was a dinner table topic, setting her on the path to specialize in pelvic floor dysfunction.
Driven by her OBGYN mom's observations of postpartum women lacking musculoskeletal support, Merci delved into research and discovered the transformative power of pelvic health physical therapy. Thus, The Pelvis Pro was born. Once simply an Instagram account serving as a social media hub for prenatal tips and postpartum guidance, it now spans two physical locations in Atlanta!
Becoming a mother herself reinforced the importance of pelvic health, spurring Merci to provide holistic care for women throughout all stages of motherhood. With a doctorate in physical therapy from Mercer University and an undergraduate degree in exercise physiology and specialized training in pelvic floor rehabilitation, Merci blends manual therapy with a functional approach, ensuring every patient receives tailored, evidence-based care.
Driven by a passion to bridge the gap in women's healthcare, Merci strives to empower women with knowledge and support. Based in Midtown with her husband, son, and furry companion, Merci enjoys outdoor adventures, strength training, and walking around the city!
